Meet Cat Marriott

My career has taken a few unexpected turns. I started out in marketing — wine industry, New Zealand, the UK, eventually Australia — which mostly meant I got good at talking to people and making spreadsheets look interesting. Two skills that, as it turns out, are surprisingly useful in mortgages.

I moved into real estate about ten years ago and loved it, right up until I remembered what weekends were for. Becoming a broker was the obvious fix.

I'm a property finance specialist, and I focus on doing this really well.

The thing I care most about is that you actually understand what you're signing up for. Where the money goes, how interest works, what you can do when life changes. Not because I love explaining things — okay, a little bit because I love explaining things — but because clients who understand their mortgage make better decisions. Full stop.
